Welcome to The Over Players web site, an amateur dramatics group based in the village of Over in Cambridgeshire - United Kingdom.
We have been presenting shows in the village since 1984. Originally these shows were staged in the Church Hall but since June 1999 we
have moved to the Over Centre. The Centre is a village facility part funded by the Millennium Fund.
We are sorry that the Player's spring presentation of Outside Edge, due to have been staged in May 2008, was unfortunately cancelled due to production problems. It is hoped
that it will be able to staged at some future date.
The Players next show will therefore now be the autumn show in September 2008 which will be directed by John Lamoon. It will another "Course Acting" performance, similar to the
one presented by the Players in May 2003. A link to the details of that production can be found here. It will staged at the Over Centre on Friday 12th
September and Saturday 13th September 2008. Further details of the show will be published shortly.
It is further planned that all or part of this show will be staged in Palma, Mallorca, on the 3rd October
2008. This will be a charity event in the same way the Players have undertaken in past years
Looking further forward to December 2008, the Players have decided on their Christmas pantomime. This year it will be "Sleeping Beauty" and is being directed and produced by Sean
Baker.
